Dr. Wu graduated from a five-year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at PCU College of Holistic Medicine in Burnaby BC. Dr. Wu is a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac) since 2011, and a Registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr. TCM) since 2013. Prior to this, Dr. Wu graduated from the NCKU with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy as well as a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in Taiwan. This education afforded him to gain 12+ years experience working with mental health, pediatric rehabilitation, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, activity and motion analysis, and skill training for activities of daily living.
Dr. Wu focuses his current practice towards treating patients who suffer from a variety of different pain syndromes, neurological, muscular and mental health conditions, as well as increasing general health and well-being. These conditions can include things like headaches, neck and shoulder pain, lower back discomfort, numbness in your arms or legs, sports injuries, trouble sleeping, depression, anxiety, stress, and challenges with fertility and women’s health, as well as many other conditions.
For treatment, Dr. Wu will assess your condition, build a treatment plan and goal with you. He utilizes many tools in his treatment plans including TCM acupuncture, acupressure, Tui Na, cupping, Gua Sha, auricular acupoint therapy as well as TCM herbal treatments.
Outside of work, Dr. Wu does different types of exercise and sports to keep the body active and energetic. At home, he practices meditation to balance his deep mental health. He believes keeping a pure and well-balanced “Qi”, both inside and outside the body, is the basic way to maintain physical health and peace of mind.
