Robert Liu | Registered Massage Therapist

Robert has been a strong believer of Massage Therapyfrom a very young age. As children, both Robert and his sister suffered from frequent combination headaches (a mix of both a tension headache and a migraine). When they found minimal relief from drugs and pain killers, they switched to Massage Therapy to help relieve their symptoms. Subsequently, years later, Robert registered for the Competency Based Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College in Vancouver, B.C. During the program Robert was able to spend a lot of individual time with Langara’s world class instructors where he learned all the vital aspects of the human body, and how Massage Therapy can affect both the physiology and psychology of the patient. Robert graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College, alongisde Fiskco’s RMT, Jes, and joined Fiskco Health + Performance shortly after.

Robert grew up in Richmond, B.C; he was an active athlete throughout his youth, playing soccer and eventually found his fueling passion on the basketball court. Robert┬áparticipated both as a player and volunteered as a coach for the Richmond Youth Basketball League, West Richmond Summer Slam, and other minor leagues in Richmond; he played for the Steveston-London Secondary Sharks during his highschool career and notably made it to the Richmond city finals both senior years. Robert still stays active on a daily basis, playing and training with his Men’s league basketball team (Metro League and MacHoops) around Vancouver.

Subsequently, Robert has also greatly benefitted from other forms of care that Fiskco Health + Performance offers, and believes in the importance of practitioners working together in order for the patient to receive the greatest care possible. Robert received manual therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after a left foot fracture from playing basketball. After multiple treatments from Chiropractors, TCM practitioners, and Massage Therapists, Robert regained and improved his ankle range of motion and is able to compete in basketball at an even higher level.

Robert is a great asset to the Fiskco Team and is looking forward to starting his career in the welcoming community of Ladner, B.C.
