Extended Health Plan Benefits
We can direct bill many Extended Health plans, just check with reception to confirm if we can direct bill your plan.  This office will help with the completion of required forms and provide receipts that should be sent to other extended health benefits provider. Your employer determines limits and conditions for reimbursement.  If you are getting Orthotics, check your Extended Health plan’s requirement to claim for them.  Some will accept a prescription for orthotics from a Chiropractor & others will not.  No referral is required for our office, however some Extended Health Plans require you to have a referral from your medical doctor to claim benefits.  Check with your plan administrator.

If you are purchasing Orthotics, different plans have different requirements to approve the claim, so we strongly suggest you check prior to booking your orthotics appointment.

ICBC
Coverage for Chiropractic Care, Registered Massage Therapy and Acupuncture is provided for office visits resulting from motor vehicle accidents (within 12 weeks of the date of the accident causing your injury).  Your practitioner will provide, upon request, a medical legal report and attend court when requested by your or ICBC’s lawyer. An injured person should consult their practitioner as soon as possible following their car crash. We cannot direct bill ICBC for Dr. Emily Baas, you would still be covered but would have to pay for your appointment and get reimbursed from ICBC. No referral is required.

Medical Services Plan of BC (MSP)
M.S.P. provides partial coverage only for persons on premium assistance. Please consult this office for details. Fees related to x-ray examinations, insurance reports, and requested letters not insured otherwise are the patient’s responsibility.  No referral is required.

WorkSafeBC Claims
Please note we deal with WorkSafeBC claims for Chiropractic care only, we do not direct bill for Registered Massage Therapy or Acupuncture.

If you are injured while working you should contact our office as soon as possible to complete the injury report for WorkSafeBC.  The sooner we provide a diagnosis and treatment begins the faster you may recover and return to work.  Chiropractic fees, reports and x-rays are paid by WorkSafeBC for accepted work related injuries.  You may also be covered for wage loss benefits while under the care of your family chiropractor. No referral is required.
