Orthotics

What is a Custom Orthotic?

A custom orthotic aids in returning the foot to a normal movement pattern. It is designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position and correct any specific foot imbalances by using a precise imprint of your feet. Custom orthotics look like insoles but the biomechanical medical appliances assist in redirecting and reducing certain motions that take place during the gait cycle.

What to Know Prior to Your Orthotics Appointment?

If you have Extended Health Insurance and want to claim your orthotics, ensure orthotics are covered under your health plan. Please contact your insurance company prior to your appointment to clarify the following information.

  • Chiropractor D.C.
  • Medical Doctor M.D.
  • Podiatrist P.D.M.

Inquire which health care professional can prescribe you orthotics for you to receive reimbursement.
